Cuba is a great place to own a soft-drink business. A hot climate makes for intense thirst,...
They've done it!
This summer, the Centre Street Church Women's Group set out to raise funds to send Bibles to Cuba. Their goal was $3000, and they exceeded it! Their gifts will provide more than 600 Bibles to people who currently do not have even one personal copy of God's Word to read and study.
The donation page for their fundraiser is HERE if you'd like to learn more.
Great job for a great purpose, women of CSC! May God bless and multiply your gifts for His glory!

CHURCH BUILDING WILL BE CONFISCATED
One of our key partners in eastern Cuba--the pastor of a growing 800-member Baptist church--has asked us to pray. This congregation exists legally and is officially recognized. However, after making application to the government for permission to do some construction and renovations, authorities have decided to confiscate the building and rent it back to the denomination indefinitely. (Details in THIS ARTICLE.)
This pastor is asking us to join in concerted prayer with his congregation. Their theme is: "United in Christ for such a time as this,” and Philippians 1:27-29 is the focus of their prayers:
27 Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel 28 without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. 29 For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him.
